1. Has anyone any idea when Humax intend to enable UniCable support for the 1000S? While trying to set up a friend's machine I was astonished to find that this was not possible, whereas my older Foxsat can operate with a UniCable LNB without any problems. Surely this must be an priority update.
2. Install Modified Firmware. From hummy.tv Wiki. Jump to: navigation. Start up the Humax using the big button on the front of the unit (not by using the remote control) The software update should begin automatically and the progress shown on the TV screen.

  Hmm can you explain furthur what you mean / elaborate on this in other words ?!

  Because the 2000 will be sold as a general HD receiver, like most other Humax receivers, they will offer software downloads on their website. (Whereas with the 1000 software updates for the immediate future will be via Premiere OTA)
  Once they offer HDCI-2000 software downloads on the website, developers will be able to 'improve' on it, like they do with other boxes.

  4:2:2 does not works with the Pace and the Humax..
  I have tested the Pace for Premiere HD since end of 2005 as'Feldtester' by Premiere.Since 14 days I have the Humax and its better then the Pace by software.
  The best Picture I have seen in HDTV is DiscoveryHD by Premiere.The audio is in Dolby 5.1 on DiscoveryHD..
  But I have a Question: Whats the matter with the 3 Transponders of SkyHD?I´m receive a strong signal in good quality since 8 days,but no channel was reading by Pace or Humax.I think there is no Video-PID.When the Channels encrypted in NDS-there must be a name..but there is nothing..
  Have anybody seen screenshots from the 3 transponders?

  Should not think Pace's PQ should be any better than Humax - it's just that Humax seems to offer better software on screen (other in German forums say same). Mind you, the Humax does have a lot of 'bugs'that should be sorted in a soon to air upgrade (ie DISEQ not working).
  I still like it compared to my old faithful Echostar.

  V-tech - I would rush down and get it now! I have been watching lots of HD with the PRHD1000 - it truly is an amazing experience.
  The BBC trials on sat will be fantastic - and all those out there waiting for a Sky box might wish to get a HDC12000 model now.
  I've learnt to live without DISEQ 1.2 (I didn't have it before anyway!) and hope the Premiere/Humax update will be here soon.

  I already have 3 HDTV box's the Qauli tv QS1080IRCI, Humax PR-HD1000 & wait for it Reelbox lite!.
  The QS1080IRCI i bought last year to watch MPEG2, but i needed MPEG4 cabability and as the reelbox was not quite ready for HDTV i purchased the humax PR-HD1000. :eek:
  The humax (1 Week old) will be up for sale very soon if i get a good offer it can go now! or even pick it up any one interested.

  I'm sticking with the PRHD1000 as I now have a full sub to Premiere - so all 64 matches in the WC in HD will be available in this happy house..and there are some cracking films in HD on Premiere (in English too).

  Received today Humax PR HD1000 from Germany. But it does not work. On powering up
  (switch on back panel) it gives a red light from the S/PDIF socket on the back panel, but the front panel LED display will not illuminate. I have tried the remote standby and the button behind the front flap, but neither work.
  Anybody any sugestions please. Driving me crazy!

  I recieved my Humax PR HD1000 last week from Technikdirekt after a long wait. I also had the same problem - it wouldn't power up and a red light flashed at the S/PDIF socket. I packed it straight back up and sent it back. I am tempted to cancel the order and wait for a better product. From what I've read here the PR HD 1000 is a duff alround.

  @pauljw70 If as you say the PR-HD1000 is a duff all round then i would stay away from the HDCI2000 too, as it is the same machine essentialy just it has'nt got a built in nagra cam. :eek:

  After much dissapointment and hassle, Humax UK have finally agreed to repair my PR-HD1000. Full story on Satd*d*z. They have told me that they do not have any spare parts for the PR-HD1000 or even the HDCI2000 at the moment. pity because the latter is identical apart from the embedded N2 slot and the software. They say they will contact Humax Germany for parts.
